Funding

There is no charge to families for any of our services. Penrickton Center for Blind Children relies solely on private donations for all programs and services. Funding for Penrickton Center can be summarized in 3 areas:

  • 1/3 from caring individuals
  • 1/3 from service clubs and many different organizations
  • 1/3 from groups such as churches, schools, foundations, corporate donations, etc.

In addition, Penrickton Center relies on donations of food, essential items and equipment, please see our Needs List for more specifics.

Penrickton Center does not receive any State, Federal, Insurance or United Way funding!

All donations to Penrickton Center are tax deductible. Penrickton Center for Blind Children is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a private, non-profit — IRS 501 (c)3  Charity.

Penrickton Center for Blind Children is licensed with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services as a Residential Child Caring Center and a Day Care Center.
